Hiking with a dog involves finding the right synergy between different needs and experiences. It takes skill, preparation, and awareness of the need to be respectful to all that we live in nature and to our fellow man.
Outdoorplace.com is “Dog Friendly” because it accepts our Clients to be accompanied by their faithful friend if accepted by the other participants and if the following rules and directions are followed:
- There shall be no limitations in the territory that will be traversed
- Must not be on the list of “biting” dogs
- Equipped with relevant CHIP
- In compliance with mandatory vaccinations
- Must always be kept on a leash – appropriately long so as not to restrict in movement (at least 2 meters); no thin ” longlines” allowed
- Must wear bib/brace and not just the collar
- No muzzle use is required but must be brought along
- Must be sufficiently trained for the type of hike planned
- Check with the guide that the planned hike is suitable for him
In addition, it is necessary to carry:
- Water bowl
- At least 1 liter of water reserved for our four-legged friend
- Specific foods/snacks for the day
- Small first aid kit
- Recommended bib light
